Antara Dev Sen is the founder and editor of The Little Magazine , published in Delhi, featuring essays, fiction, poetry, art and criticism related to literary themes of South Asia. She was senior editor at the Hindustan Times and a fellow at the Reuters Foundation in Oxford, England.

She also writes for Open Democracy and is an advisor of Words Without Borders. As a journalist, Antara wrote a Red Cross report on Angola which involved travelling to rebel territories. Antara has also authored reports on the South Asian tsunami and Indian general elections of 2004. She is author of India, the eternal magic (2000).
